Aquakultre is the artistic voice of Halifax’s Lance Sampson—a versatile singer, rapper, and storyteller. His third album, 1783, explores the legacy of Black Loyalists who arrived in Nova Scotia seeking freedom and went on to build enduring communities. Descended from these settlers, Aquakultre brings this history to life through a powerful concept album. 1783 Live is a high-production performance with full band, visuals, and storytelling—de- signed to celebrate Black Nova Scotian culture, foster inclusion, and leave audiences inspired and connected.
