Port City Ballet Company is proud to make its professional debut at The deCoste Centre with a magical production of The Nutcracker.
Nova Scotia’s first professional ballet company, Port City Ballet was founded by Westville native and former deCoste bursary recipient Nova Johnstone. Now a professional dancer, Nova returns to her roots to share the beauty of classical ballet with the community that helped launch her career.
This enchanting production of The Nutcracker features professional artists from Nova Scotia and beyond, including former principal dancers from international companies. They’ll be joined by rising stars from The School of Port City Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program and local talent from Pictou County.
Audiences will be swept into a world of sparkling costumes, dancing snowflakes, and magical storytelling in this holiday favourite, perfect for the entire family.
