This is the 26th Anniversary of the recognition service held to honour the memory of the No. 2 Construction Battalion C.E.F., Canada’s first and only all Black regiment during World War I, established in 1916; 103 years ago along the shores of Pictou. Scandinavian String Alliance (SSA) is a touring project created by two Scandinavian bands who are playing and singing traditional and newly composed music and songs from Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.
