2023 PLC Advance Weekend Dry Side 19+

This weekend pass entitles the holder to all main stage entertainment for the 2023 Pictou Lobster Carnival, from July 7th – 9th, 2023. The 2023 main stage area will be divided into a Beer Garden side and a non-alcoholic or dry side. This weekend pass entitles the holder access to only the non-alcoholic side and cannot be exchanged at gate entry.

Are you ready to Rock the Lobster by the Sea in Pictou 2023!? This year marks the 150th year anniversary for the Town of Pictou as well as the 250th anniversary of the landing of the Ship Hector, and the Pictou Lobster Carnival is joining the party with a very special 89th year of the signature Nova Scotia event featuring an overflowing roster of musical entertainment at the main stage!

The 2023 Lobster Carnival will once again feature four headliners, with Friday night starting things out with Juno award winner and multi-nominee Sass Jordan! Jordan’s still rocking out as strongly as ever with her signature rasp over 30 years after bursting on the Canadian music scene with hits like Tell Somebody and Make You a Believer.
Saturday’s headliner will be one of the best-selling bands in Canadian rock history, Big Sugar, with frontman Gordie Johnson. The reggae-blues rock band has been cranking out hits dating back to the 1991 self-titled debut, and will threaten to blow the roof off the tent on July 8th! Turn the Lights On, Diggin’ A Hole, Dear Mr. Fantasy, All Hell for a Basement, and the list of hits goes on.

On Sunday we will feature two premiere East Coast Canadian headliners to close out the weekend, first with a reunion of the Moon Minglewood Band! Sam Moon and Matt Minglewood formed their first band together back in 1969, and they have shared the stage countless more times over the years, and they will join forces again in 2023 for Pictou Lobster Carnival!

To close out the 2023 Pictou Lobster Carnival will be none other than Lennie Gallant and his band. With songs so profound and hard-hitting, Lennie Gallant was awarded the Order of Canada, and he boasts a dozen albums to his credit with some of the best-known songs in Canadian folk music history including Peter’s Dream and Which Way Does the River Run. Those are just two of which combine with a huge catalogue of powerful and memorable songs that continues to grow.

This weekend pass will be your ticket to an amazing weekend of entertainment, and the rest of the music lineup will be released very soon!
