The deCoste has one of the region’s great grand pianos, purchased for the centre almost 40 years ago by the Rotary Club. Our audiences love to see and hear this beautiful instrument played. We have gathered 3 incredible songwriters who are also virtuosos on the keys.
Pictou County’s Doris Mason is no stranger to the deCoste stage and has toured extensively for decades. Kim Dunn is one of Atlantic Canada’s top sidemen, but comfortable and deserving of his own mainstage profile. Owen O’Sound Lee has appeared at the deCoste twice in the past several years. He accompanied Classified at a Bruce Guthro Songwriter Circle and was bandleader for CBC’s onsite taping of “The Story and the Song”. These three talents together will make for a night to remember.
