In Digging Roots, the husband and wife team of Raven Kanatakta and ShoShona Kish trade lead vocals, and fluidly compliment each other’s strengths while going from whispery intimacies, to smokey wails. Firmly inhabiting roots and blues, their music is an eclectic tapestry of light and dark sound with sweet harmonies and melodic accompaniments of ukulele, banjo, mellotron and of course Raven’s bombastic resonator guitar.

William Prince is a JUNO AWARD winning storytelling singer/ songwriter from Peguis First Nation who sidesteps cliches to provoke thought and facilitate discovery. His baritone vocals pay tribute to his late father and his genuine delivery acknowledges the hundreds of hours he’s spent on stage.

Part of the  APA & Radarts’ Canada 150 Performance Series. The deCoste Performing Arts Centre appreciates the support of the Canadian Government through the Department of Canadian Heritage.
