Daniel Wnukowski ~ Classical Series$22 - $25
Polish-Canadian pianist Daniel Wnukowski has performed throughout Europe, North America, South America and Asia in prestigious concert halls.
Wnukowski was recently awarded a $23,000 grant from the Canada Council for the Arts to perform outreach concerts, along with five other pianists, for remote, Indigenous communities in Canada. He inaugurated the 2017 year in Warsaw, Poland as a special guest at the National Philharmonic Hall, performing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue under the direction of Jerzy Maksymiuk. In November of that year, he performed a live radio broadcast for The New Classical 96.3 FM Toronto, containing a selection of musical works by Viennese composers.
He was trained at the Lake Como International Piano Academy in Italy where he worked with distinguished artists such as Dmitri Bashkirov, Menaham Pressler, Claudie Frank, Fou Tsòng, John Perry and William Grant Nabore and at the Peabody Institute of Baltimore under the guidance of Leon Fleisher.
